Global Learning Adventures (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our camp participants (“students”) and their parents or legal guardians (“parents”, “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you enrol your child in our online summer camp using our proprietary in-house platform.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is strictly necessary to administer the camp, deliver our educational curriculum, and communicate with you.
- Student Information: We collect the student’s full name, grade level, gender, assigned cohort/group, curriculum type, country of residence, and city of study.
- Parent / Guardian Information: We collect the parent or guardian’s full name, relationship to the student, email address, and telephone or WhatsApp number.
- Educational & Media Data: We record live camp sessions to facilitate asynchronous learning. We may also capture screenshots or video clips of live sessions for internal and marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:
- To process and review student enrolment applications.
- To manage academic delivery, team assignments, and camp operations.
- To contact parents or students directly regarding camp updates, scheduling, or technical assistance.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. All data processing (outside of payments) is managed entirely on our secure, in-house platforms.
3. Third-Party Payment Processing
All financial transactions are handled securely through our external payment partner, Payoneer. Global Learning Adventures does not collect, view, or store credit card numbers or bank account details on our in-house systems. Payoneer’s use of your personal information is governed by their independent privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
To maintain academic records and assist families returning for future programs, all student and parent data will be stored securely on our internal platforms for the duration of five (5) years from the date of enrolment. Once this period expires, the data will be permanently and securely deleted.
5. Live Recordings and Media Safeguards
- Asynchronous Replays: Because our camp supports flexible learning, live sessions are recorded so that students who are absent or delayed by technical issues can access them later. These replays are strictly restricted to enrolled students within our platform.
- Marketing & Public Use: We may occasionally take screenshots or video snippets of live classes to feature on our official website or social media channels. However, we will always contact parents separately to obtain explicit, written consent before any child’s face or identifying information is made public.
6. Children’s Privacy
We take the protection of minors seriously. All enrolment data must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. If we discover that a child under the age of digital consent has provided us with personal information without parental verification, we will delete that data immediately.
